- We are an R&D-driven company with the full capability to manufacture your idea into mass production.
- We own over 20 automated production lines that cover all processes, including coating, slitting, rewinding, packaging, and warehousing.
- We do not just focus on tapes; we also pay attention to the aluminum foil itself. Considering your applications, we offer a range of aluminum foil specifications for you to choose from. For the toughness requirements, we also believe your application needs an annealing process to eliminate work hardening, restore material ductility, and remove surface residual oils.
We offer regular and customized aluminum foil tapes. Our regular aluminum foil tapes include the liner aluminum foil tape series, the self-wound aluminum foil tape series, the self-wound film-laminated aluminum foil tape series, and the reinforced aluminum tapes.
It is a strategic trade-off across four dimensions: physical adhesion, environmental endurance limits, chemical stability, and cost-efficiency. Since aluminum foil serves as the backing material, the choice of adhesives significantly determines the tape’s life cycle.
Temperature Extremes
- Sicilione Adhesives: Can withstand temperatures of 200℃ and remain unaffected by low temperatures.
- Solvent-based Acrylic Adhesives: Have the most well-balanced performance, can be applied in -30℃ to 150℃, can deal with most industrial applications
- Water-based Acrylic/Rubber-based Adhesives: Can be normally applied in environments not over 80℃. Once this temperature is exceeded, rubber-based adhesives may experience ‘flow,’ leading to displacement, while water-based adhesives tend to lose their tack.
Aging & UV Resistance
- Water/Solvent-based Acrylic Adhesives: Capable of withstanding long-term UV exposure without yellowing or cracking, achieving an operational service life of 10 to over 20 years.
- Rubber-Based Adhesives: Can be easily affected by oxygen and UV radiation, leading to oxidative cross-linking and a hard, brittle adhesive layer.
Tack vs. Shear Strength
- Rubber-Based Adhesive: It exhibits extraordinary initial tack, allowing it to bond to surfaces immediately, and is suitable for use on rough or low-surface-energy (LSE) substrates. But rubber-based adhesives lack shear strength, making them unsuitable for long-term use.
- Acrylic Adhesives: Capable of regular initial tack, featuring adhesion build-up over time. Over time, the adhesive fully wets the substrate surface, resulting in exceptional bonding strength.
Complex Enviroment Resistance
- Solvent-based Adhesive: It is naturally hydrophobic, so adhesive edges won’t be penetrated by moisture in humid, salt-spray, or chemical-splash environments.
- Water-based Acrylic Adhesive: Containing hydrophilic groups in its molecular structure, the adhesive layer is prone to ‘re-emulsification’ when exposed to high humidity or condensation, leading to loss of adhesion.
- Thin Aluminum Foil(15-25μm): Offering high flexibility, which is ideal for wrapping irregular shapes or curved pipes.
- Thick Aluminum Foil(50-150 μm): Provides enhanced mechanical strength, superior moisture barrier, and puncture resistance. Heavy-duty industrial applications or those requiring permanent sealing typically require a thickness of 75 μm or thicker.
