Solvent-Based Acrylic Adhesive

Rubber-Based Adhesive
A pressure-sensitive adhesive system is formed by adding tackifying resins and additives to natural rubber or synthetic rubber. Its core advantages include high tack, lower cost, and rapid bonding capability. This type of tape is widely used for packaging, temporary fixation, and cost-sensitive applications. However, it lacks the ability to resist aging and UV exposure. Easy to cause adhesive bleeding and residue in high-temperature environments, making it unsuitable for long-term outdoor structural bonding.

Water-Based Acrylic Adhesive
Using water as a dispersion medium, the polymer exists as an emulsion. Its core advantages include low VOC emissions and stable, controllable bonding. Ideal for indoor and medium-duty applications, suitable for automated production lines, and low-residue.
However, it requires high demands for the drying process. Limited water and moisture resistance, poor heat resistance, and lower tack in high-humidity environments.

Silicone-Based Adhesive
Featuring a siloxane (Si–O–Si) backbone structure, coupled with an extremely low glass transition temperature and a highly flexible molecular architecture. Its core advantages include extreme environmental tolerance and long-term durability, enabling it to withstand temperatures from -50℃ to 200℃. It can withstand even higher or lower temperatures for a short period and has exceptional aging and weather resistance. It can offer fine adhesive performance when traditional adhesive tapes are not available, Stable insulation performance, and is Inert to most chemicals.
But it is more expensive than Rubber-based, Water-based, and Acrylic-based tapes. Offering lower tack and adhesive peel strength, which means it is not suitable for structural bonding. It also shows fewer capabilities in connecting to metal surfaces. Not accept a second engineering on substrates.
